Question Toilet replacement plastic to china

We have 2007 25' fb International. We are hoping to replace the plastic toilet with a china toilet. We are told the off set of the drain is too close to the wall. Has any one done this change and if so what toilet did you find that fit? I believe the off set is 7 5/8". Would love any help in this project.

Are you referring to a conventional toilet with a tank? If so it will not fit, needs to be 12 in. from the wall. I recently replaced my original toilet in my 1973 AS with a porcelin RV toilet with no problems.

We had our trailer serviced and a new China Toilet put in by our Airstream dealer a few months ago. We really like it and there were no problems getting it in. It sits higher and has the feel of a full size toilet. They put a Dometic 310 with a hand sprayer in our International. As I recall the total, installed, was around $250, we feel money well spent. We live in our Airstream four to six months out of the year.

Good luck

Some toilets, even if they have a china bowl, might be able to be trimmed a little on the back side that hits the wall with a Dremel tool to make for a custom fit, because the seat, cover, and surround are still plastic.
I needed to do that when I installed a Dometic 310 in my Classic. Removed an inch or so off one corner in the back.

Go on the Thetford website. They have full dimensions of all their products. Take the stock toilet off and measure carefully from the back of the flange to the wall. Most if not all Thetfords will fit. We replaced the Aqua Magic on our 25 Safari with a different shape Thetford china bowl toilet. It is up against the wall but it fits.

I've tried several different toilets in Airstreams over the last decade, and the Dometic 310 wins. It's reasonably priced, and it should easily fit your 25FB.

This one came with the Dometic 310, which, thank God, is now being installed in most of the new ones. If memory serves, every other one I've owned came with the Thetford "Aqua Torture Five".
Oh...wait...I meant to say Aqua "Magic" Five. Anyway, those were soon discarded, and replaced with either the Thetford "Bravura", "Style Plus" or "Style II". I've also tried the Dometic 210, aka "Traveler Lite".
