On your 2010 or late models what have you added....

I added some coat hooks by the door. I also added an extra towel rack. Pretty much it has been untouched for over 7 months. Any ideas? I still can't find the perfect clock, Oictures or suggestions would be helpful. Don't get me wrong we added a mattress pad, new pillows, and quilts. Not really anything to make it homey.

Thanks,
Shane

Add some Centramatic balancers.

They pay huge dividends.

We had magazine racks made to fit the areas by the rear benches, stained to match the interior, also a larger rack for campground books mounted behind the driver seat. You absolutely have to have places to put your stuff!

As we travel and find places we love, we pick up small prints or pretty notecard prints and put them on the aluminum walls with double stick tape. If they are not already in cellophane envelopes, we slip them into photo sleeves or laminate so they aren't destroyed by road dust. Much lighter than glassed frames. The National Parks also have beautiful photo bookmarks and magnets, which also make very nice pretties for your wall.

Anything small that comes from and reminds you of places you have been can go on your walls with double stick tape. Look around and be creative.

Maggie

We added a towel rack in the bathroom and a hand towel rack by the bathroom sink. Also we added a spice rack in the kitchen by the stove. Ikea has a lot of stuff that looks good in the AS. We changed our color scheme with the help of AZBambidecors.com. We went with a deep red and grey. Lots of pillows, new rugs etc to make it more our style. We also have baskets in the overheads to make it less cluttered looking (CCD) when the lights are on. For the entertainment stuff we changed out everything. New hgtv, stereo with Bluetooth and USB hookups. We can watch movies on net flix now. Very fun. Just choose your style and go overboard! Have fun making it your own.

Very cool! Love your new color scheme! To those of you who have added towel racks - where did you get them and how did you attach them? We found a very small one that was made of clear plastic and attached via suction cups, which we put in the shower to use for our washcloths. Would love to have a couple extra metal towel bars in the bathroom, though.

We bought ours from Home Depot and used shorter screws. We had to cut the one in the shower area to make it fit by using a pipe cutter. Also the hand towel rck is really a tp holder but we liked the smaller size and look better. The faucet ( more like the new CCD) and spice rack are from ikea.

Circle theme

blmitch, I love the new decor. AZBambi does incredible work. I also like your extra towel bars. We haven't added any yet, but have been thinking about it too.

Andy, what are Centramatic Balancers?

Our homey additions have been things to work with the "circle" theme Airstream started for us with the throw cushions. We added a down duvet with a duvet cover. We have a knock-off Nelson Ball Clock, circle rug, and another entrance rug with circles on it. We added a shelf near the bed for books (in the pic it looks reddish from the flash, but matches well in real life). Near the door we added a key & cell phone box. On the sofa we got 2 IKEA armrests. They can be positioned many different ways, so they were a great find. We haven't drilled much yet, but as time goes by we've realized that keeping the walls pristine is just not practical.

I think most of our pics are in the thread (Favorite Mods under $100): http://www.airforums.com/forums/f42/...-28364-14.html
The whole thread is a great read.

Hi, I tried the suction cup towel racks in my shower stall, but the towels didn't dry due to no circulation, so I bought another type of towel rack from Ikea and it works great.

Hi, Centramatics are wheel balancers that fit between the hub and wheel.

We replaced Lucy's original lavatory faucet with a single handle deep reach faucet. The OEM faucet was a double handle that was not easy to use.

Hi, after reading what Brian / moosetags did for his bathroom faucet, I also changed mine to a higher, single handle model. Thanks for the great idea Brian.

Thanks for the info about the towel bars. I'll have to put that on the "honey do" list! We have just been using some small bars that hook over the little shelf that runs along the bottom of the big, mirrored medicine chest in our bathroom to hold the two hand towels. They serve the purpose, but the towels hanging there can get in the way of accessing the things that are residing on the vanity top. It sure is helpful (and fun!) to see what other folks have done...

We have had great luck the the 3M Command line of stick-on hooks. They now come in a metal looking finish so, while not a completely trendy add-on, they are easy and cheap. And, if you don't like where you put it the first time, you can move it with no holes left behind.

The larger ones hold our towels in the shower, even on the road.

Happy Travels,

Golfgal,

We added an additional towel rack to the right of the bathroom sink. I went down to our local Airstream dealer and ordered one to match the original. It wasn't more expensive than what I had seen at the big box hardware stores and was easy to install.

We also put in a suction cup wire rack that holds the soap and shampoo in the shower.

Also added a bulletin board above the TV to put pictures of our outings and of course, the grand kids.

I am going to look into a single handle lavatory faucet thanks to Moosetags. That looks really nice.

Thanks, Aftermath! We don't have a "local" Airstream dealer, but I guess we could call Colonial, where we bought our Airstream. It would be nice to have everything matching. We, too, put a suction cup wire rack in the shower for the soap and shampoo. We also had some slipcovers made by slipcovershop.com to cover the seat cushions in the lounge and dinette. I was able to find a fabric that matched our "mint green" upholstery, which in my estimation is more akin to an "artichoke" color. Sure came in handy on our 2-week trip out west with the beagle! Good thing they are washable!

Hi, click on my blog [under my avatar] and go to "Simple Safari faucet change" to see how I changed mine. A little PEX work was necessary.
