I had a smile on my face reading your post. I remember first bringing home my A/S, I couldn't stop grinning!

I think we've all done some driveway camping at some point.

Enjoy.

Well it was Great!!!! Talked the wife into joining me and Zues<our 100lb Boxer>. With him in the queen bed it was a little cramped. But tolerable. We invited our son who's 6' and 16 yrs old to try out the dinette bed or Lounge and he wanted to play xbox online,...Go figure. But he's really excited when we actually leave the driveway and do some fishing. Which will be next weekend. Haven't looked too much into it yet. Maybe Possum Kingdom Lake or somewhere near mineral Wells.
Back to the sleeping, I heard the Furnace come on and off through out the night. I can get accustomed to it. Also heard the inveter come on anf off perodically also. Nothing Major. The mattress is firm. It's like the one we have at home. Just a little more firm. The only issue I have to adjust to is sleeping away from the door. In hotels and our home I sleep by the open door, which turns out to be the left side of the bed ,looking at it. I don't like that my wife cannot sit up in bed and watch TV because of the window begind her with the blinds pulled. Otherwise we slept nice. Haven't used the potty yet or cooked.
It's just an unreal feeling being in my trailer. I look around and feel safe secure and clean. I mean like everything is moderwn nicely fit and it feels whole...make sense? Like built soild. I'm in Love with my baby. Oh my wife also.....LOL

I'm posting pics on another thread when I get typing.

SHane

A Year and 8month update.

Love reading this old post. Loggs memories and makes me smile.

Well in this short amount of time I/We have logged over 15,000 miles. Numerous trips. From Florida Keys <twice> to Pikes Peak. Just wish we could go ahead and retire and start to seriously get the "party" started. Without deadlines. Planning a vacation or an outing. Would like to just GO!! No schedule. No destination. Just see this wonderful country with no boundries. I still have another 20 years though. Thats the main reason I bought an Airstream. Because it will last. I will be towing my 2010 International in 2032. I love what Airstream has already brought into our lives. I Didn't have much of a childhood growing up. I really didn't even know what a Family vacation was. Ever since we had our son..Now 18 years ago we have gone on Family vacations for Spring Break, summer,..etc. I wish I would have bout my "stream" a lot sooner. Someday I will make up for lost time. Until then, it's campsites and 7 day vacations.

I'm a happy camper. Thanks for letting me update. See you guys/gals on the road.

Stream Safe.

Shane

Just think, Shane, in 22 more years your trailer will almost be vintage.

We used to go out and sit in ours with coffee in the morning.

You're just so enamored with them that you want to look at and absorb everything.

Have fun!
