Zamp plug

So i'm electrically challenged (2017 Sport 16) ... but wondering.... if the Zamp plug could be used with appropriate connector for 12 volt power out ... to run tire air compressor, dc string lights and other 12 volt stuff? All I find is a fuse in the line from the A frame Zamp plug to battery .... thanks in advance for advice

Sure could but always be cautious of having power on the exposed side of the plug. Also make sure to check polarity as the Zamp plugs are reverse of normal CES connections.

Hi

As long as you don't do:

1) Get the polarity reversed
2) Pull to much current

You should be fine.

Yep I had to make an adapter. There's a post on how to do that but basically ya gotta get a 2 pin, cut it and resplice it so it swaps polarity. Then plug your stuff into that.

^ This. My Zamp plug was 'normal' polarity so when I plugged in my Zamp suitcase it wouldn't work. I called Zamp and they sent me the correct 'reverse' polarity plug. Now I have one of each
