Yamaha powered Smarter Tools Generator

Has anyone tried the Smarter Tools Generator Sine Powered 2000 watt from Costco @ $599? It seems to be powered by the same Yamaha engine as the Yamaha brand 2000 and has all the same specs. I saw it at Costco and found a few You Tube videos but I don't know if it can be run in tandem with another to run an Airconditioner in my Airstream. If so, it would be a big savings. Marc

Which Costco location did you see this at? I haven't seen them in any of the Kansas City area Costco's but would love to get my hands on one.

I know Costco is known for their great warranty policy - any idea how it would apply to a generator?

Also, have you found the generator on a Costco website? I can't seem to locate it except through the home depot website - and I believe they wanted $750.

Thanks!

They have them at the Prescott Arizona Costco. They may not be set up to double the output if placed in series with another unit. If they were, I'd buy two so I could run my air conditioner.

I just saw this generator at Costco for $599. Has anybody figured out if you can buy two and run them together?

Thanks!

Read the post prior to yours, "They may not be set up to double the output if placed in series with another unit."

Thanks AWCHIEF

I did read that post. And I guess I misinterpreted that statement. When I saw the words "...may not..." I took it to mean there was a possibility and the poster just wasn't sure.

My bad.

to-may-to, to-mah-to. What can I say?

Sorry to be a bother with my question.

But don't pay too much attention to the post prior to yours, because they'd never be run in series ... only in parallel, if that's a possibility. And I think you read it right. The previous poster just doesn't know.

If you zoom in on the picture, it doesn't appear to have the connections to parallel them. (Or, if it does, it's not with the other connections.)
