Wiring in my new Intellipower conveter?

Hi guys,
I am wiring in my new 60amp Intelli-Power converter into a trailer that has never had a converter. Just wondering about the wiring. I understand that I need to run a positive and negative wire to the battery and to the fuse box. Right now I only have a positive and negative wire going from the battery to the fuse box. Do I need to leave these pos and neg cables from the battery to the fuse box so that I can have my 12V when I am not hooked to 120V (going through the converter)? Or is there another way to insure I have 12v power when I am boondocking and away from hook ups?

Thanks,

Rod

Don't worry about wiring from the battery to the fuse box. Go from the battery to the Intellipower, then from there to the fuse box. Power does not need to go through the Intellipower to supply power from the battery to the fuse panel.

Progressive put two large positive and two large negative screw connectors on the back of the box, I assume for that reason. I used #6 wire, I think #8 is sufficient.

Don't forget a separate ground from the metal box to the metal of the trailer.

hi- just saw on ebay this morning an Intellipower 40-amp model, appears new in box, buy-it-now for $110, out of Texas. The ebay number is 190063324479. Should work for somebody!
