that is the junction box where the 30 amp cord is connected to the romex that feeds the breaker box.
looks normal to me.

The tail of the wire is just hanging out of the juction box??
Where is the breaker box supposed to be?
This was a twin bed arrangement.

Hi, Bob,
Look in the hallway wardrobe far the breaker box. If your '77 is like my '79, there are three hallway closet doors.

yes, I have the wardrobes, but if it's there (I'm not at the trailer)
it needs to be connected or purchased I guess.

Hi, Bob,
You should think about posting some pictures of the trailer in your gallery. I would have gone and looked before posting if they were there.
I see it has the RM-100 self-defrosting refrigerator. I've got one of them too, and it works great. It also may have the third element allowing it to run on 12 VDC from the tow vehicle.
You'll recognize the breaker box or its absence easily. A bunch of big wires come out of the wall to go into it. I can't imagine why anybody would pull it out.
So 120 VAC is not working in the trailer?

Hi, yes it was in the wardrobe.
There is a 20' extention, to plug into shore power, but it's hard wired out of the junction box, stored in the bumper storage box.
Should this be terminated someplace by the bumper with a outlet to plug into?

No, this is as it should be. If you need more length, you can get a 25' RV extension cord from Camping World.

OK, that's great, I'll just put a new plug on it.
