winegard antenna there is alum bracket that cradles unit

I am wonder if it was installed wrong, while pulling snow off unit this came right off. I installed with sikaflex 221 and put in same location. The bracket supports 2 bottom front bumps on unit kind props it up. Should this be in center of antenna to cradle unit. I hope it's correct way I installed or will be having to pull it off again argh. Should have asked before going hog wild but you know.

The support bracket for my antenna came up just like yours, when I was replacing the AC pan last summer. Whoever installed it originally at the Airstream factory failed to remove the peel off plastic protective cover from the bottom of the support bracket.

After I removed the plastic, I glued mine back in place with some caulk, just like you did. No problems so far!

Mine departed company while going down the road somewhere.Obtained one from Airstream. It did appear to only have been held down with sealer , I added Olympic rivets.

Mine had plastic on bottom and I peeled it off scuffed with sandpaper put it in same location. I am worried that my install or there's is wrong. Say I am crusing 60mph in 80mph winds or something.

Is this the bracket you're discussing?

It looks like mine is riveted to a plate and the plate is just glued down to the roof.

That's exactly what I did. I would not worry about it blowing off. When the antenna is in the fully down position, the weight of the antenna will hold the bracket in place while in transit. I have hauled several thousand miles since I stuck mine back in place with caulk, and it is still there. I don't remember exactly which caulk I used, but I asked the guys at ODM what to use, and bought whatever they suggested. It was not something special, it was just an off the shelf caulk, the same material they told me to use under the AC pan.

Cool picture, mine is resting on bat wing I will show some pictures. Think they installed in wrong location and obviously did not remove plastic. I will go take picture right now.
