Which generator

I am going to purchase a generator and I expect it will be a Honda, either a ev 2000i or an ev2000 companion. I will be using it to power my 25 ft safari and to recharge my batteries when I camp where there is no shore power.
Which generator do you recommend?
Also, when using the generator, what is the best way to charge the batteries. I have a good battery charger that I use to recharge my trolling battery for my boat. Would using it be faster to directly plug into the generator or just use the camper connections through the main power cord?

Thanks
charles

If you're going to have a single 2000, I would suggest the eu2000i. You'll want the 15 amp outlets. If later you want to power your air conditioner, then buy the companion. For charging batteries, simply plug in to the trailer (you'll need a 30 amp adaptor) and let the in-trailer converter/charger charge the batteries.

Why don't you try reading the numerous threads about generators that are already on here?

Many will recommend the Honda EU2000 but for a lower price the Champion 3100 seems a good bang for the buck. I don't have any personal experience.

75531i (US) - Champion Power Equipment

It's not so much larger than the Honda EU2000 and it weighs about 83lbs dry/93 with a full tank. You can run your AC on it and it costs a little less than the Honda EU2000. It starts an RV 13.5k AC while on Eco mode. t's a tad noisier. Search youTube for this and the Honda generators to get an idea of which is best for you.
