Question What type of battery should we get?

What type of battery should we get for our 1974 Overlander? Gel Cel?

Try this link it has a lot of really good info on batteries. Gel cell are expensive, but if you use battery power a lot they are worth it. I am not sure gel cells and a univolt would be a good combination so that would be another expense to consider.

Lightbulb Another thread with info

There is another thread called "Great Tech Info" here (if you go to the search button and type that in, it should take you there). It has some links and good info on batteries. I was trying to figure out how to link it to this thread, but have to admit defeat so far!

One site that I put on to that thread has a 2 part fact filled report on batteries. Good Hunting. Leigh

Trojan Batteries has a Group 27 12 volt, 115AH battery which if used in a parallel pair, has a bit more capacity than two of their taller, but smaller base, 6V T-105s in series.

That's what I'd go for if it'll fit in your battery compartment(s). It's very slightly taller than most other Group 27 batteries.
