Hello All.
I'm a super newbie, Globaltrotter 2019, 23' I'm in a stage of firgure-things-out. Bought WEN 56225i Super Quiet 2250-Watt generator very similar to HF Predator. I know WEN 2250W would not be sufficient to run Air, but I had a troubled run heater (furnace). The thermostat was set "Auto" when Temp set to 72F, outside was 58F. when heater(Sounds like electrical unit kicks in as well, not only France), the generator's warning lights were blinking and it was stopped. My guesses are following:
1. I should set the thermostat to "Furnace" instead "Auto"
2. When "Auto" kicks to either Air or heater, I'm required to have at least 3KW+ generator.

I might be completely wrong...please guide me a super newbie, and greatly appreciated many guru's advice.

Are you trying to run a heat pump with the generator or a propane furnace?

Set to FURN not Auto. Auto will attempt the heat pump. Hence your problem.

I agree with pcskier, Auto will attempt to run the Heat Pump (which is your rooftop AC unit). Select Furnace and you should be fine on generator.

If you’re on shore power you can use Auto which will run the Heat Pump until temps get too low and then switch to the furnace.

I agree. Note: the furnace will run on battery only. You will only need to use the generator to charge the batteries.
