Simply having a stabilizer or post down offers zero ground!

Following.

I'm picking up a 2013 Flying Cloud 19 next week and then going on a maiden voyage to the Oregon State Parks, all with Electric Hookups. I want to definitely get one of these tower mount units. I'll go with the Progressive, the Technology Research one sounds like the reliability and Customer Service isn't as good.

Do I need the 30 amp or 50 amp for my Flying Cloud? I can't tell from the spec sheet, which just says "110V/12V Power Center w/55 amp converter."

Your 19 foot FC only has one AC unit so it will be set up for 30 amp service. All you need is a 30 amp surge protector. You should have a set of adapters (50 to 30 amp, and 15 to 30 amp) so you can plug in under all circumstances you are likely to run into.
