Vitamix

Just wondering if anyone has tried using a Vitamix blender in their AS. Here are the specs:

120 volt, 60 Hz 11.5 amps
2-peak HP (1380 Watts) motor

We'd love to bring it with us but are not sure if it will work.

Thanks!

If you are hooked up to shore power or have an generator it should work as any other 120V appliance.

Looks like it pulls less amperage than my wife's blow dryer, curlers and curling iron.

May have to be careful and not run it at the same time as other high draw appliances but I don't see why it wouldn't work just fine as long as you have shore power or a generator.

Take it along

Mojave:

I've used my VITA MIX in the Argosy for over 4 years now.

It's been on the road with me for as long as 173 days and always works without problems, either on shore power on while my trailer is being fed by the generator.

The Vita Mix is missing from the photo but sits on the counter right next to the espresso machine.

That stuff is stored on the floor during transit, of course.

So good to hear everyone - Paul has become very attached to his Vitamix and he'll be stoked to know it can join us on our big road trip in a week!

Thanks!
