Here is a dish mount you can use instead of the standard tripod. It is more difficult to get the elevation correct but it is more stable, easier to transport and people are amazed by it.

Nice...

A "do it yourself" mount for the dish. Very "cool", and also, very low profile, to minimize wind gust's effects in reception. It could be used as an optional configuration to a roof mounted dish that may be blocked by trees, et cetera, at a site.

Sat. Mount.

Heres a simple mount that didn't cost to much, and is secure, and weater proof. I took a medical shower stool, and replaced the back rest/seat , with a piece of diamond plate. Stainless bolts connect it all, and a "I" bolt used in the center, allows me to connect a chain from the"I" bolt, to a dog leash screw that secures the mount firmly! Jeff

I'm cheap. I use a small tripod, from dishnet, put it on the ground and find the signal. Then I drive a tent stake beside each leg and duct tape the leg to the stake. Pocket knife when I get ready to leave and pull up the stakes. I also have 75' of coax plus another 75' patch coax. I have used all 150' before to get a shot.

Sat. Mount.

The shower stool I got at good will for $5.00 and the diamond plate was scrap @ $2.00, the bolts were the costly part @ $7.14. Cheap to me , and adjustible! Jeff
