Unraveling the brake wires on my '59

I am finally putting on the inner skins and need to troubleshoot the original brake and running light connections. I am confused, My original wire colrs that go to that area are blacK, red, brown and green.
I can't seem to make the connections function as I think they need to. The best I can get is the blinkers on and the tail lights and the brake lights.
The running lights don't light up with the TV headlights and they don't blink either.
Anyone with an original set of schematics for that year?
Thanks,
Tony

If the inner skins are off...WHY don't you put in new wiring...? This is the time to modernize and improve safety overall. Check where the wire goes thru stringers and run grounds from all 12v fixtures...at least check them well. Any good trailer shop will sell you a length of 7 wire to use.....then its all done new and you know actual layout.

I understand what you are saying.
I have changed out all the electrics except for the tail and running lights. They seem to be okay although the colors are wrong for new standards.
My problem is I do not have a new 7 pin on my truck just a 4 way. I am planning on switching that out but have not gotten to it yet. Trying to make the tail and running lights from the 4 way has given my fits.
Hopefully the provided diagram will get it done but I will give your idea more thought.
Thanks

Thanks for that but I have the round pin connector. I can't seem to find that adapter.
