TV and overhead fan in Bambi

We noticed when not plugged in to power our TV and overhead fan/AC does not work...is this normal or are we making a rookie mistake?

Speaking of rookie...I just realized I posted this in the wrong spot

Thanks!

Totally normal. Both the TV and AC need a 110 connection to work.

Ditto Stan's comment.

Another option for the TV is to use an inverter that converts 12v from your rig's batteries to 110 so you can run the TV. If you do this you need to monitor how much power you are using so as not to drain your batteries.

There is also the option of using a generator which will provide your rig with 110...this will run your TV easily and provide 110 power to all your outlets... you can also use an generator to run the AC IF you have a generator that produces enough power. We have two 2000w Honda Generators...we use only one when we don't need AC...when we do, we use both and run them in parallel.

There are many threads on the Forums that discuss generators, generator sizes, and running your AC...check them out for informative discussions.

Enjoy your new toy!

Thanks TBRich...definitely something to think about when we're heading to hotter climates and off grid. Much appreciated!
