Tripped breaker not able to reset

Newbies here! We forgot and ran the microwave while our A/C was running. The breaker tripped. Turned off the A/C & flipped the breaker back to the "on" position. Our power was only running on DC power which would run only the fantastic fans and some ceiling lights, nothing else. (No outlets, no appliances) We were not able to regain our power from the 30 amp campground shore power. We reset all breakers switching from OFF to ON and nothing. Also reset the shore power breaker and even unplugged completely, waited and plugged back into the 30 amp power source and still nothing. I'm confused about the small 12 volt fuse box under the front window. Is there something there to reset? It was so hot we packed up and left the campground and plan to go back tomorrow to try to get our power to work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!

Try resetting the GFCI in the power box? Little white pushpeg. Good luck.

When “breakers trip” you often have to push the lever OFF to restore the internal spring tension necessary for the breaker to function in next overload event.

Unplug from park power.. Turn off all AC breakers in the trailer. The one that “tripped”.. see if it will reset then switch “on”... does it stay on? Is it springy feeling or nice solid transition to ON?

If all breakers ok, turn them all off. Go to power pole and check pole breaker same way. Does it stay “on”? If not, tell the Park.

If you are sure the park power is ok, plug in the AS.. does park power stay on or breaker pop? Switch on one AC circuit... like the one for the converter. Does it stay “on? Try the one which failed.. does it remain on?

Resetting the breaker from off to on should work unless you have a load running and there is a problem. Try disconnecting from shore power and reset. If that doesn't work you have a defective breaker. It happens from time to time. A meter will go a long way. The campground also could have had a problem where the voltage to your unit was far below 110. This will increase the the current and could potentially trip the breaker as your trying to reset it.

BTW... if the campground is experiencing power 'brown out', do NOT use it! The lower voltage causes additional AMPERAGE draw.. which exceeds breaker limit, but most important is the damage it will cause your AS, if it is severe enough.

It is wise to have and know how to use a Voltmeter and have a 'surge protector' for your main power cable. Progressive makes good stuff..

Can’t reset

After trying what others suggested. If 50 amp service is available it has always done the trick for me . If no 50 amp. Holding the main switch in the up position for 10 seconds has also worked.

Philip Jones has it: find gfci button and presto! For my FC 30 it’s in the bathroom.

Keep in mind the breaker needs an aggressive “push” to the off position. You will feel a bit of friction from the switch handle. This resets the “trigger” action of the breaker. Now move the switch handle, with gusto, to the on position. This makes sure the contacts in the breaker close completely.

If all is well, the breaker will remain on and ready to protect the circuit. If the switch handle is limp feeling it did not reset and either the overload condition still exist or the breaker is junk.

Bet it is just the breaker is not being fully reset.

All the previous post are excellent ideas and guidance.

Do you have a Camco RV power circuit defender for your Airstream?
A must have for RV sites to make sure you are getting the correct supply power.
Some RV campgrounds have improperly wired power supplies which can damage your Airstream electrical systems.

Tripped breaker outcome

We went back to the campground today and were able to determine that the campground power source had tripped also. Thankfully all is well with our Airstream's electrical system. We used a tester to determine that power was no longer working from the shore power. Thanks for everyone's advice, we really appreciate the help!
