Transfer switch

I am in the middle of planning a new electrical system for my '59 restoration.

After reading all the previous threads about how to balance and monitor 120vac loads between shore power and generators, A/C units and inverters, it occured to me that a standard emergency generator transfer switch might work.

I have a transfer switch in my house and what I really like about it is the two wattmeters that are built in, the six circuit breakers, and the individual transfer switches for each circuit.

Is there any reason why this wouldn't work?
