Tow Connections

Hello All,

I would like to update my 62' safari to a system that has a receptacle on the airstream, one on the tow vehicle, and a cable to run between.

Anyone done this? Where can I find a socket that will fit on the front of my airstream below the window and allow me to run the connections down the interior skin to the frame below?

With this system would I just use a two vehicle socket on both the airstream and tow vehicle and a home-made cable with two "trailer" ends to go between?

welcome to the forum!

you don't need to go home made, most 70's era airstreams were connected with a system just like you describe.

you could contact inland rv for the parts, i'm pretty sure andy would be able to connect you with the parts you need for your project. -or- any place that handles parts for semi trailers would have all the plugs, recepticles and cables you would need.

perhaps some of our 70's members could post some pictures of the set up!
