So I'm pretty close to the spot were ill be replacing the main breaker 110 breaker panel for the shore power. It's 40 years old, and took some minor damage in the bathroom fire. So I figure better be safe than sorry.

My thought was, the cost difference between a 30 amp panel and a 50 amp panel is not much. The biggest cost will be the 50 Amp cord. Now a 30 Amp supply has worked well so far, and only once did we trip the breaker trying to run 2 electric heaters. So 30 amp would be fine, unless.., we needed more power later down the road.

We live in Fl so I could see needing a second AC in the future.

Now a 50 amp connection is really 2 50 amp lines, so a total 100 amps. Way overkill. So I guess the quest is, would it be worth it, or there is any other options? Feel free to chime in.

Also I have a separate AC panel and DC panel.

If your going to replace anyway IMO better to have 50 and not need it than have 30 and wish you had 50.

True the cord is a bigger pain on 50 but it s the way I would go.
