The thingamabob & thedohicky .....??????? - Charge Guard

Now seriously- the previous owners put a new power converter in our trailer..It says on this power converter-" RCMS Interface 35 amp Power Converter"- it has a phone type cord coming out of the back whick goes to this thingamabob which looks like a Car alarm key control. This has one button and a flashing green LED. If i push the button- the light blinks very very fast & does not stop...What is this thing? or should I say Thingamabob or Dohicky!

Sounds like a "Charge Guard" to me. Relax, you have the BEST charger/converter on the market!! Pushing the button on the Charge Guard puts it into different charging modes. That's all I know. Hopefully someone will chime in and explain the operation in more detail.
