Tail Light Question

Hi all,

I am a new Airstream owner. 1st season with my 2016 Sport 16!
It is presently plugged into my house and at night I have noticed three of the LED's lit up in the passenger side taillight. They are all close together in a horizontal fashion, looking like three periods next to each other - ... See pic.
This seemed like it might have a specific purpose, signalling something. It may be a wiring issue as well. Any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreciated. FYI, my battery is registering 13.2.

Thanks,

James

Clean your 7-way trailer plug.

Yep. You’ll find a similar thread from me back in November. Water in the trailer umbilical plug. In my case it froze and created a bridge between right signal and ground and power the lamp via the battery. Ice melted away and made it a real trick to troubleshoot!

Thanks, I will check this out. I did buy one of those cheap dust covers this fall. That is likely what is going on. Will report back, ideally with success.

Dang! Is there any Airstream mystery that can't be solved on this forum?

The only one not truly solved yet is “Why is aluminiumitis so darn contagious?”
