Strange Taillight issue

I have a 2015 25FB and really have had very few and minor issues. I noticed that the RR LED Taillight had a couple of the LED's dimly lit. The trailer was not plugged into shore power or my truck. Turning off the battery switch had no effect. The Towing pigtail plug had nothing that I could see connecting any of the pins. Any idea what can cause this?

Dirt, in a word.

There is a conductive path in the umbilical plug between the pin that has 12 volts from your battery that is leaking to an immediately adjacent pin that has your clearance and taillights circuit on it. Typically it is a surface film that is impossible to see...

Clean the plug thoroughly to solve the problem...

There is a connection to the trailer battery in the TV umbilical, along with the all the clearance, tail, turn and stop lights. This connection may, or may not depending on the phase of the moon when the trailer was assembled, be broken by the STORE/USE switch. I'd look for corrosion or moisture in the plug on the cable, crush damage to the cable, and a final option (because it may be hard to find/get to) is to uncover and inspect the black plastic box that terminates the umbilical inside the trailer. Perhaps a loose connection has allowed a terminal lug to slip.
