The 12volt system on my coach completely shuts off no matter what 12V powered component I turn on; lights, trailer jack etc. The temporary solution has been to "jiggle" a black (ground?) wire that terminates at the univolt and has a in line fuse. Everything comes back on....for a while. It is a massive frustration especially when the jack cuts out while trying to hook up the TV. The system also cuts off sporadically when we have 12V components on.
I don't have much experience with 12V systems, but it appears to be a universal issue not just a short in a single fixture.
Does anyone have advice on where we should start trouble shooting? Do I need to look a new univolt no matter what for a 72 AS?
Sound like you need to be lookin for a bad ground. Check every ground begin with the batteries.
