my 2010, 19' bambi has the sony radio/dvd/cd player. using no shore power i disconnected the batteries by pressing the switch to "storage" position. when ever i push the the switch back to" in use" position the sony radio display comes on when it had been off prior to battery disconnect. does anyone have this go on or know why because if i do not catch it it will drain the battery over time i believe. i would also like to know how to stop this mystery. any help would be very appreciated

My 2012 does that as well; as soon as you put the switch in USE, the radio lights up. Then I have to manually turn it off, at the radio. This is no big deal to me as they are both at the door and it would be hard to miss the flashing display on the radio.

There is a keep alive circuit which has a parasitic draw whenever the switch is in use, even when the display is blank and radio is off. To eliminate the draw, either put the switch in store, or remove the radio faceplate. The reason it lights up, is it thinks it is being fired up out of the box, complete with its silly demo mode.

it is only a big deal when trailer is in for repair and the mechs don't know this is the situation. i will pull the faceplate down when in for repair to avoid the accidental draw better just in case they disconnect battery and reconnect again. thank you both for the feed back this solved my mystery.
Just for fun, our 2010 International has one additional glitch during this sequence--when the faceplate re-lights, it often comes back with the language in Klingon instead of English! Anybody else have this particular issue? Thoughts? Not a big deal, and turning the radio off and back on fixes it--seems to be a loose connection with the opening front...
The Sony in my 2013 does that as well.
It is inside a locker, so sometimes I don't even notice.
When I do notice, I turn it off.

maybe its the older i get. that setup with the sony coming back on after battery reconnect just does not seem to be a useful action and a potential dead battery if not caught. stay aware. And the Klingon dialect is quite the challenge but glad it is an easy fix with the universal translator, the off/on button.
