Single Outlet Not Working

I am a newbie and took my 1983 Sovereign out for the first time this past weekend. Everything worked great except I had no power to the outlet in the cabinet where the microwave was located. All the other outlets and lights worked, any suggestions on tracking the cause. Another question- The pull switch behind the couch controls the 12 volt power...what position should that be in when hooked to shore power or doesn't it matter.

In our 70' model, over one bed on one side an outlet went out. Because of that location I believe it cut out several outlets all at once. It had been where we were plugging a ceramic heater into for some time.
So I turned off the power to the whole Airstream, and unscrewed the outlet cover. It was fried- or was getting close to. So I removed it and remembered the (very important) arrangement of the wires, and shot down to the electric place and bought a matching new one and installed it. Went outside and turned on the power and everything came back on fine.

Look for a light switch that turns off your AC. Flip it then check the outlet. They were wired so it was one or the other, not both.
