Shore power but no power inside or to appliances

Hello,

My wife and I are newbies to the Airstream world.

We recently purchased a 2008 23' International and are camping in Door County, WI this weekend. We are plugged in to a 30 AMP breaker box and realized today our batteries were being drained thanks to the battery charge system monitor turning orange. Upon further inspection I've narrowed down the following...

When plugged into the shore power and the battery is in "store" mode there is no power to the interior lights, A/C, or fridge however, there is power to the outlets, TV and microwave. We've unplugged the shore power, reset the breakers under the fridge, checked all breakers, added distilled water (very small amount needed) to each of the batteries and their is no change.

From this, we think the the interior lights, A/C and fridge are all running off the battery even when plugged into shore power.

We asked the campground owner to bring his battery charger and the batteries are taking a strong charge (charging 25 AMPs as I'm typing).

So does anyone have any ideas for the following:

1) Why when plugged into shore power will the interior lights and main appliances not work?

2) Why when plugged into shore powder the parasitic battery drain > draw rate to power the interior and appliances?

Thank you,

Travis and Lindsay

You switched the use/store switch to USE, correct? If no bueno, and the breaker for the converter charger is ok, then check the output on the DC side of the converter with a multimeter. Might be a problem with that.
