Rocker switches--still available?
anyone know if you can still get these? one of these is busted...jammed. won't move. seems like perhaps a little piece of the plastic may have broken off and jammed itself in there so the switch won't move.
haven't seen any "around"...one rv catalog I checked had some rockers, but totally different style (appearance) than this. wondering if A/S might still have them...

If you can't find one from an rv outfit and don't mind replacing both (color probably won't match otherwise) try Digikey or Mouser Electronics.

Why don't you try this. take a drill and drill out the rivets for the switch that dose not move. If there is a piece of plastic that is jammed in the switch remove it and your switch will most likely work without haveing to replace it. And if worse comes to worse you need to replace it, eather way you half to remove no matter what you do. Hope this helps. God Bless..

Chuck, I've got all of mine apart. Just tried to go out and take some pictures, but light problems this time of night. I'll try again tomorrow if you need pics. These switches seem fairly common, Radio Shack, Grainger, your local electrical supply. If you need better pics, let me know.

how do you get them apart? just a flat screwdriver, and pry carefully? I'll check the 'shack, and see what they have.

I bought some from an rv supply, they are black and just a tiny bit larger. The rivets just hold the plate to the wall and the switch clips ito the wall plate. a little work with a fine file on the switch plate opening and they look and work great. I didn't like the chrome plates the new switches came with. The little effort was worth it.
Good luck

Pics
Still not the best pics, I don't have the good camera now. See if you can make these out. see the tiny hole on the side? Gently pry this apart with a small screw driver, it'll all come apart. Remeber, be gentle. Jim

Chuck.
Any Airstream dealer that stocks parts for the vintage trailers, has that switch.
They are available in white and black.
Also that switch comes in different arrangements.
They can be SPST. SPDT, momentary, etc.

Chuck.
Sorry.
SP= single pole
DP= double pole
ST= single throw (on-off)
DT= double throw (a three way switch)
Momentary= When you flip the switch, a circuit is connected, or disconnected, as the case may be. When you let go, the switch returns to it's normal position.
The above is for toggle or rocker type switches.
Rotary switches are a different ball game.

Rocker switches from Mouser.
You can get them for as little as .92 or as much as 9.00. I did not pull up the exact one. I like Mouser because you can upgrade the switch for less money.
Here is the catalog page link:
