There is a Lazydays near Bates, with an attached Camping World. Right off I-4 in Seffner. Either Bates of Lazydays should be able to help, I'd call both and see which one can get the coach in fastest.

reputations?
they have been repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat customers at LD, if you get my drift. i'm curious if this is a bear of a problem that should take 4 days or not. it seems an overload protector was removed and it is now in the "try it out and see" mode.

If that's what Lazydays did, I'd be seeking another opinion as well. What brand of SOB is it?

Speaking of LazyDays..........

I have had numerous service calls where the 'techs' at LD totally butchered systems......from generators to Aqua-Hots to refrigerators. In fact, the Aqua-Hot factory WILL NOT recommend LD to any of their customers for any service work!!!!!

The ONLY place to have the proper service work done on an Onan gen-set is an authorized Onan/Cummins dealer. They have the properly trained techs to get the job done right the first time.......no bull sh*t ....PERIOD!!! There are several in the Tampa area.

Gen-sets are nothing to fool around with......especially when they are modified to the point of creating a safety hazard!!!!

.............and BATES!!!!! They are a total embarassment to the RV industry. Ask me sometime for my Bates story (I bought my CCD there).

I can take a look at it Sunday if they have no joy before then. While I'm not an expert, I did sleep in an Airstream last night...

If nothing else, we can get the circuit breakers reinstalled for them.

terry, thank you very much! i don't know much about these things. these kind folks are not young. i will try to get more details after i return from a funeral today. almost every repair done there has needed a 'comeback'. they FT between two kids and are always "out of warranty period" for the return.

last time they did not charge labor but the part cost was substantial.

let's see what happens at the cashier today.

ok, my last update is this:

there are two switches on the generator for power. one is a red button. that switch has been bypassed and so far, it has not stopped producing power.

so, what does the red button do and just how much safety has been bypassed? the bill is pending the return of the service manager next week.
