I agree with this completely! Darn flashing lights are annoying as heck!

Just push the "source" button for 2 seconds and it will stop the "disco demo" mode.

When installed in a car, there are settings to over- ride this feature. I think to be able to do it in our trailers some re-wiring might be necessary. In a car, you have two 12-volt leads. One is constant to keep the memory for the clock, tone control setting, and station presets. The other is switched to make the radio power down when you turn off the ignition. Whenever you flip the "store/use" switch the radio goes to default settings. The radio needs a constant 12 volt source like the tongue jack has.

You could pick up a constant 12V from the CO alarm, IIRC. I believe it stays alive regardless of where the 'Store/Use' switch is set. I think that the yellow wire is the one to keep 'alive'. I know it is on Pioneer units, in any event.

Interesting. I'm already wondering how to bridge off the CO2 alarm to the radio. It in a overhead, so how to drag the wire....

Might be easier with the CO alarm since they are only around 4" from the floor.

Insert two plastic tie wraps, one on either side and it will work fine.
