Re-wiring the '68 Safari

So, I'm knee deep in wires, I'm putting in a resetting circuit breaker in the wire between the tow vehicle battery and the trailer battery. The guy at my local RV parts place sold me a 30 amp breaker, ........the wiring diagram calls for a 25 amp breaker......the wire from the trailer is 8 awg and the wire from the vehicle is part of the new Bargman trailer end cable, so will it blow up if I do not go order a 25 amp breaker online?

Also, the breaker is labeled on one side "Bat", ( no I did not pay attention to this detail when I took off original) does the "Bat" go to the vehicle battery or to the trailer battery?

I wired my 12 volt systems on our '68 Overlander just like the drawings on a 2001 Bambi that I found on the Airstream web site. It shows a 30 amp breaker from the tow vehicle. I can send it to you if you like.

Here's link: http://www.airstream.com/files/libra...fe9a57a9a8.pdf

12 volt wiring is on G-11 and G-12 depending on how many axles you have. If you trace the 30amp from the tow vehicle you will find a 50amp breaker between the 30amp breaker on the way to the battery.
good luck, it works for me.

Thank you Pat, the resetting breaker I encountered is on the "Charge Line 10 Ga Black" on the diagrams on pages G11 & G12, it is located between the 7 way plug and the "30 amp type 2 breaker" shown on the diagram
