Q 4 Trimetric 2020 installers

installed the 2020 unit, 100A shunt, and 35' supplied wiring harness.

walked through the setup procedure- volt setting, amp, shunt... only setting not defined was the battery bank capacity...
i can't find the aH rating on my OEM interstate batteries.. website doesn't list either-- but, from what i've read, not having the amp-cap defined, should not effect what i'm having a problem with...

the ampere draw reading..

at rest, with the 'kill switch' off.. getting a -.05 reading (seems legit between the 2020 itself, and the CO detector)

but the fantastic fan, on HIGH reads -.92
thats well below the manufacturers listed 3.0A draw on that unit

all the other items seem to be reading low

any thoughts?

It'd be nice if manufacturers also provided a 'nominal' current demand but their legal departments prints the maximum it will draw under adverse conditions.

Group 24 75 to 85 Amp hours
Group 27 80 to 105 Amp hours
Group 31 90 to 120 Amp hours
Golf cart 180 to 220 Amp hours

Pick your type and start with the low figure and see how a 3-5 hours "at rest" voltage reading stabilizes at after a normal daily routine to see if you have more capacity than the low side figures given...

Maybe your shunt isn't intercepting all the negative leads to the battery bank(s)?

With the factory inverter option, my coach was rigged with dual sets of battery cables. I had to contrive a single point of contact through my shunt that wasn't there before. (more)
