Power Outage Alarm

We leave our two small dogs in the airstream all day while we boat. Today in Arkansas it was 104*. We have wifi in our stream and I'm curious if anyone using anything to alert them of a power outage or temp spike. I've considered installing a nest thermostat so that we could at least periodically check the temperature.

BTW, one A/C unit in Arkansas is not anywhere close to sufficient!

Hey we are neighbors!

It has been miserable for the past several days hasn't it?

I flip out leaving my dogs in the Airstream when it is hot too.

Maybe a GoPro camera with a view of the thermostat would help ease your mind?

Sounds like a good idea for anyone with pets onboard.

Hey J! We're close! We have a nest thermostat at home. We've thought about installing one in the stream. The nest has an app that allows you to see the temp at any time. That way we could periodically check the temp from our phone while out on the lake.

Not a bad option. Would you just mount it somehow to see the current thermostat?

Power Outage Alarm

I think the Motorola unit has built in temperature monitoring.

It would use a lot of WIFi data in a day though.

I just read all the details. That's a great option. You can see them and receive the specific alerts about temp ect.
