PO rewired my 12V to run only 110V

The PO had rewired my airstream so 110V runs through the whole 12V system including all of the 12V lights. I am trying to figure out:

1)Whether I have a low voltage distribution panel.
2)Where the rewiring took place so I can hook up my univolt and battery to the 12V system.

Here are some various picures of my trailer in total disarray with wires all over the place. Exhibit A-G.

What a mess! SO let me get this straight, you actually have 110v juice on the original 12 v wiring? It almost looks like the PO pulled extra runs of Romex to some parts of the trailer, then reattached the 12v fixtures in hopes it would work on 110v power? Let me take a closer look at the pictures.

So both the dangling lights that are mounted in the front corners (pictures above)have a 110V running through them. The red and white coupled wire in the rear of the Tradewind labelled "cadillac" wires also have 110V.

The univolt is running off of a circuit from the 110V power box then running through those two fuses, then it has a section that is ready to hook up to the battery. So the red and white cords that are hanging that have 110V running through them are the only missing piece of the puzzle. The hanging red and white cords with the 110V are also connected to the overhead lights which also show 110V. So those cords are connected to the 12V circuit. But where have they picked up 110V?

Those same cords are connected to a wire in airstream central control that is leaning up against the wall. Is this the low voltage distribution panel?

What is that little silver box fixed to the ground on the front driver side of the trailer?

What must've changed to have 110V running through all the wires in the system?

Any help answering any of these questions would be amazing because so far all the answers I've gotten have only created more questions.

I would almost have to say that somebody made such a mess out of this that you will need to completely rewire the trailer. It's impossible to tell from the pictures what goes to what. Can you tell if all of the original 12v wiring is still there? One strategy might be to remove all of the "new" or "added" Romex and try to rewire back the original. My '73 has a completely different type of control center, so I can't help you there.

The box attached to the floor up front--see that hole in the floor next to it? On my '73, the charge wire from the TV, the brake wires and one other set (can't recall right now) run thru that hole and up to the tongue and back to the brakes. THIS SHOULD NOT BE A 110 VOLT CIRCUIT! That box may be actiing as a junction box for one or more of those functions (tho I don't know why).

How do you feel about pulling out all of your interior walls? I'm very concerned that a) the PO was clueless about the differfence between 110v AC and 12v DC and b) maybe the reason he did all of this was because there was some original problem that he was trying to fix.
