PD 9245 Wiring

I am replacing the converter in my 1994 Excella with a PD 9245. There was a 12-14 gauge wire connected to the old converter, and I have no idea what it was for. Anybody have an idea, and where can it be connected with the new conveerter. Thank you, Chris

Where was the wire connected on the old converter? Chassis ground, perchance? There's supposed to be a grounding lug on the AC side of the converter. Can you use a multimeter on the wire to see if it has voltage or to see if it goes to ground?
