Parts source for four position light switch

Hi

I'm looking for a parts source for the four position light switch. I have three of them in my AS, in each ceiling vent/light fixture. Thy turn 360 degrees around and go from off, two lights, four lights, six lights. They are all dying at the same time. Electrical contact cleaner just made them worse. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks-
Brian

I just redid my three lights and fortunately all the switches were good. Before I fixed the lights, I went to Home Depot, and I believe they have the same configuration switch that will fit, but it is a pull chain rather than a rotating switch. They have them in all the replacement parts for ceiling fans. Many ceiling fans have multiple light kits so they should work.

Just a thought!

I have two different brands of switches in my 75, I will check them tomorrow and see whose name is on them. I would suggest seeing if you can match one up at an appliance parts house or an electronic/electrical supply house.

It is a standard Leviton part. Most of the lamp stores are going to stock it as a repair part. This is also where you will save 3-5 bucks per switch over going to an Airstream Dealer. Take one out, and show it to them. I would bet they have them in a bulk bin/box.

Who goes to the AS dealer anyway The closest one to us is over 2.5 hours away, and the parts department isn't open on weekends. I tried to get a quote from them for Zip Dee's and they didn't seem too interested, still haven't heard from them and it has been over 2 weeks Most of what I have seen in terms of electrical parts is pretty standard, the only item I forsee any real problems getting parts for are going to be my stove top and oven.

Don't fret, I have 2 dealers withinih 1.5 hours and neither of them normally have what I need in stock. I quite often have to order the parts and have them shipped in.

If you really want the Zip Dees then I would check with Walts RV in Ocala, FL. He is an Expert and can order the awnings and install them for you. He can give you a quote based on measurements you provide. Call him at 352-237-6813 or email at waltsrv@aol.com. Not that it will get you a better price, but tel him I sent you if you do use him. Thanks!

Thanks Brett,
A Florida Vacation would be great in a couple of months I am going to be working in N Virginia starting in a couple of weeks Coldest part of the year up there. I will give Walt a call as soon as I get the dimensions. I currently have the Carefree's on there (PO) but they are near the end of their lifespan and definitely want to go back with the Zip Dees
