Outlet wiring

Anyone have any idea where the second wire goes from the outlet in bathroom in 1970 overlander 26. With the second wire attached the breaker keeps tripping in control center. Changed breaker. Capping wire and all outlets work and breaker does not trip but now battery not charging. Any help appreciated

Well it sounds like that outlet and the converter/charger are on the same circuit, so I'd venture to guess that the wire goes to or at least toward the charger/converter.

Maybe the charger is going bad and is throwing the breaker?

It's a place to start......

The fact that I am opinionated does not presuppose that I am wrong......

Outside outlet? Is the tripping breaker a GFCI breaker? Typically the bathroom, outlets near the sink, and outside are protected by a GFCI. Outside outlets often get dirt, insect nests, and moisture in them that cause GFCI trips.

Thx guys I purchased a new boondocker converter charger and plan to replace the univolt system. I took every outlet out and checked continuities and all check out ok except for that one wire which goes to back . If I put back in series it trips breaker.
