Our Simple Simon Solar Upgrade... 2019

We got the 120w Zamp Suitcase last August...very happy.

We are planning more on the road this Season so naturally we,(I), needed more. Added a 180w.
Both are still charging thru the 7-pin.

We had our first Sunny day in a month so we just had to check it out.
Here are some photo's & screen shots starting this AM.
Seems to be working fine👍, can't wait for the first trial under camping conditions.

The Zamp controllers are mounted on the backside of the
frame.

Amazing how the needs can require more equipment to be purchased.

I was going to ask a question or two, but your 2 recent posts in the following thread seem to have the answers about misc. pieces to fill in the blanks:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f542...ng-193668.html

Thanks for the updates, we intend to go in this direction.

Peter

PS -- The Zamp 180 watt suitcase:

PS2 -- For everyone's info . . . the following post in the What Did You Get etc. thread has all the details I think -- click on orange arrow in quote to to there and see the photos:

Each Zamp panel has its own controller, 10a for the 120w panel and 15a for the 180w...they play well together.
I was advised that they may not, but I gave it a shot and it it seems to work very well. I do have the 120w for sale and plan to match with two 180w.
I was able to get 47ah in 5.5 hrs in full sun.

Thanks again, Bob. Peter

Peter,

Glad you understand the 'need'.😚
The DW noted that they are two different sizes, so naturally I'm selling the 120 and getting another 180.😂

Bigger is always better!

PS -- Did you see the great Sara Bereilles tune in the OTRA II thread? She seems to be somewhat in your groove IMO.
