I thought all RVs had the 12 volt plug in the same plate as the television antenna signal strength amplifier. In addition to that one, our trailer has one in the locker with the stereo and Blu-ray player.

USBs, but no direct 12v on our 2015 ... read and learn. Not all models and years are specified with the same equipment.

If one looks on the back side of the USB plugs, they are fed by 12v DC through what looks like AWG 12 or 14 wire. A check in your fuse panel can determine the circuit's capacity.

But, as has been stated, one needs to be running the generator for 10 plus Amps of 110v AC power which is what a useful hairdryer requires. Or, my espresso machine.... Espresso can be consumed while my hair drys☕️

I have experience with 12 volt appliances, coffee pots, hair dryers, etc. from working around boats. They are absolute power hogs, something to keep in mind.

I like Paula's solution of using micro fiber towels for drying hair.

We have a small travel hair dryer that has two heat settings. On low it uses about 400 watts; on high it uses 1,600 watts. We can run it on low using our 1,000 watt Honda genny.

Recently I learned that my wife now dries her hair using the cool air setting to keep from burning her hair. Her big hair dryer has two fan settings. On low it uses about 90 watts; on high is uses about 160 watts. I could easily use our 400 watt inverter to operate her hair dryer on the fan only setting.

I believe using the micro fiber towels and the hair dryer on the fan only setting would be a good way to dry my wife's hair when relying only on 12v power from the batteries.

😄

I actually had enough hair in my teens that I needed a blow dryer. These days, the fluttering of a moth above my head dries my "hair" right quick! 😄
