New 2020 12V LG TV and Blu-Ray?
I was looking at the "what's new" on Fresh Air on the Airstream site.
https://www.airstream.com/blog/whats...avel-trailers/
They state:
LG LED HDTV and Blu-Ray™ player powered with the inverter so you can watch even when you’re not on shore power
My question is, does anyone know what the model numbers of these units are? I'm interested in converting as I like the 12V aspect of not being on short power to watch.
Thanks.
Chris

A recently updated thread, in case there is anything 12-volt related and helpful there -- FYI and FWIW:

The Amazon links may be productive?

If it says powered with the inverter, that means powered by 120 vAC , through the inverter from the battery when you are not plugged in to shorepower. There are 12 v TV's available out there, don't know about Blue-ray players.

Oh right........oh my......my brain must be fried.
We can do this now on the inverter in our '19.
Why is this a "new" selling point? Or did I completely miss something?
I read it as running off the batteries, not the inverter......this is a "my bad".

No prob, kittmaster.
By the way, do you have a 12-volt "cigarette lighter" outlet anywhere in your 2019 AS? Our old 25' had one, and the current 2014 FC20 has one up near the stereo.
Lots of folks add them for misc. purposes.
Cheers,
Peter

There are no 12V cigarette lighters anywhere in the trailer. We only have GFCI and Inverter power outlets and two dual USB jacks, one in front (near blu-ray), and one in bedroom.
I see that older trailers had a bunch of them, which would be useful, but with everything USB these days....I can see why they switched....what is interesting is the "power feed" to the USBs is still 12V and the connector down converts it to 5V. I was thinking of tapping it and adding a few 12V bulkhead cigarette lighter plugs.
Just wondering if I really need to.

Here are some things I power with my 12v cigarette lighter outlets:
12v Fantastic box fan
charger for TPMS display
Garmin GPS to plot routes
I have added USB outlets around my trailer for modern stuff, but I like having both.

12 volt tv
I have a Jensen 12 volt TV that’s about 12 years old now. Got it at a marine supply store. Heavy duty and has all the ports for audio, video, satellite, dvd etc.

We have a 2019 FC 28RB with the LG TVs. Well, we left the one in the kitchen in place and removed the one in the bedroom (it was only used to hang clothes anyway).
We had to get our kitchen one replaced, so I looked it up to see if I could get them to send me a check instead. It’s actually a few years old, sells for $100. It does run off the inverter along with the BlueRay player. Draws right around 5A (12v) in use. I wish the BluRay had WiFi, the model that does have WiFi is too big.
Way more info than you probably cared to get.

Here is my “lunch box heater” in Airstream blue even. It only draws 45 watts and works great. I bought a 3 cup covered Corningware dish (from Target) to heat stuff up and I use it to eat from also.
