Battery Filler

I use a condiment dispenser bottle. Kind of looks like a ketchup dispenser. Here's is an example:

Works great and they're cheap and easily replaceable if you inadvertently leave one some where.

Distilled water from the local Sobeys, $0.99 for four litres.
Having read some of these posts, I think I might try one of those plastic condiment bottles.
"Accordianman's" Amazon has a set of three for Cdn.$54.50 + C$16.50 S&H.

I think that I will just go to the local Dollar store, and buy one for $1.50 or so.

Yeah, but if the batteries are hard to get to, or loaded up with cables it's not always possible to get the large container in there. Otherwise, I agree.
I kept one of the rubber bulb type in my tool box for years.

I recycled a 12 oz. dish washing detergent bottle, the size we carry in the trailer for washing dishes. ($1 for detergent, free bottle after using the detergent)
It's small enough to carry an adequate supply of distilled water on trips without taking up too much space/weight. It does not leak if turned on its side. The water stream is small enough to see the water level in the battery as it's filling. Since the bottle is see through, I always know how much water is there. As long as the lid is closed there is no chance for contamination of the distilled water.

Thanks for this suggestion! I'm going to get one of these for battery maintenance at home.

I use a laboratory wash bottle similar to a team sport shareable water bottle.

The wash bottle can be found at any local laboratory supply house. The sports bottle at Walmat.
