Go to an alternator repair shop, they will know where to get one. They may have one to build or in stock. ... or modify the bracket to fit a common alternator.

When I needed an alternator for my boat(diesel) I just took it into NAPA and said I need one just like it, he went into the back and came out with an exact match. Did ask as he was writing ticket what vehicle was I putting it on If I would have said a boat he probably wouldn't of had it in stock.

Not quite sure what you mean by a 1989 Land Yacht moho. My 1989 is a 345. Anyway, I have a chevy 454 engine in mine. I put a new alternator in back in March 2011. It was purchased at AutoZone. It is a Valuecraft brand rebuilt unit. Part # 1352-5-11. I did have to remove the serpentine pulley from the old unit to put on the new one. You'll probably have to buy a pulley too. Hope this helps you.

I know I'm late to the party but my alt just went out
Thanks for the part number but I got a question. What size alt is thay as in amps and how has it worked for you? My 1990 AS LY 454 doesn't have a sepertine belt it has 3 belts
I would love to convert it to a single serpetine belt
Is this doable
I know I would need to change all pulleys and add a tensioner. I know the 454ss model chevy pu has a sinlge belt so I would think those parts would fit. I'm concerned about the alignment of the pullies

Would be gratefull for any info

Having had belt problems in past motors, pulleys are so specific and alignment so critical I would say no the average backyard mechanic can't do it. There are some here who are super first class mechanics that could answer yes. You can even screw the system up by having the wrong brand belt as some have changed the original belt width sizes.

Wrong brand ? brand doesn't matter as long as the dimensions are correct. Some brands will last longer than others but brand won't tear anything up.
The conversion should be doable by most anyone with mechanic skills. Check with some of the aftermarket hot rod companies or do a search for accessory serpintine belt conversions for 454. kwickperformance.com has a conversion kit. That was the first one to come up doing a search for it.There should be many more like summit racing. Just do a search and you should get your answer.

Try different year model for the alt. Check the amp rating on the alt. larger amp rated may have a different housing. If their happens to be a parts store near you that is still privatly owned go there you will get someone that is a parts guy and not just a computer reader. If not go to Napa they are still a parts store unlike autozone, advance,o'reileys. If the computer doesn't tell them the part number they usually look at you stupid and tell you they don't have it or they don't make it. You can also check with an alt. rebuild shop they are going to be able to give you more info than anywhere else.
