Mystery Box in the front of my Excella II

I finally got the coucho and all the carpet out of the front of my trailer. I found this box that I don't know what it is for. I did not find anything about it in the owners or shop manual. Any ideas folks? It looks like some sort of motion activated thing.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

I'll split hairs with Splitrock... and call it a 'Door Chime' - don't see no 'bell' there...

Doh yeah you are right. My daughter found that door bell right away. For some reason it seems odd to find a door bell in a trailer.

Thats interesting...never saw a doorbell on an Airstream. Where is the button located on the outside? Was this something the factory installed as an option? Just curious...

The button is in the bottom part of the handle next to the door

Yes and the other cool thing is there is a deadbolt lock made into the same handle. I don't know if the lock works. Someone has been drilling on it. If I don't have a key to it I may take it too a lock smith and see if they can recore it.
