Unhappy My refridgerator won't turn off!

Hi all. Just brought our 23fb international home last weekend. I went out to get a CD still loaded in the player and noticed that nothing came on; the batteries were dead.

I connected the trailer to ac power in my home and noticed later that the 'fridge came on. I just wanted to power the batteries. So after making certain the 'fridge was in the off position as well as disengaging, so I thought, the breaker, the fridge continues to come on.

Is this normal or am I missing something? Thanks!

Is the refrig running off of propane? it should shut off then you turn it off?? Just check the propane and turn all that off also. Also the batteries won't charge if you flip that battery disconnect switch, I am told....good luck!

Starting with the basics. There is an on/off switch inside the freezer door, push it once, and the little green LEDs that show the temp should go out.
It's very possible somebody (customer? Dometic or Airstream employee?) got ham-handed, and crushed the film switch. Are you switching the use/store switch off when you're done, and are you unplugging the trailer when you do that?
