The two yellow circuit breakers isolate the inverter and the solar controller. Just the positive wire. Both breakers came with the AM Solar kit of parts. I'm pretty sure the wiring diagram along with the specs is on AM Solars website.

I don't recall the size of conduit, at least 3/4" but maybe 1". I used some liquitite conduit I got at Home Depot. Go bigger. Shoving lots of wires through a tight pipe gets tiresome.

Sorry about the imprecise answers. I'm not near the trailer right now.

It's Your Fault!

Ok Kurt, I followed your lead and am as happy as a clam! 400 Watts of Solar and 300 Watts of 120V inverter switched.

I'll put a complete write up together next week (#4 wire home run from the combiner box to the Blue Sky Charger was fun) but here's a preview. A big thanks to you, for the great design. I added a 120V pilot to your design picked off of the Shore / Inverter Switch feed which my wife wants me to rename KOA / Not KOA switch so she can understand what it does! The white dot to the right of the GFCI is a 5 Amp breaker. I'll run the inverter ground this weekend.

Brad

Kurt & Brad,

This is a very informative thread! Gives me some ideas how to modify my 360 watt system.

Really nice job Brad. I like the GFCI, good idea. I might just install that myself too. I know all too well your project was a lot of work. Congratulations!

Kurt,
A great installation. I'm new to this forum and in the process of designing a solar/inverter system for a 25FB. One question, could you have added an additional cam and used it to turn on the inverter when switched to the inverter position?
Thanks for posting,
Steve

I think so. That's a great idea.
