Mounting Onan Diesel Generator

I have a 75 Argosy24 which I have stripped and been reoutfitting for off grid camiping with two BigFeets ( Mastiffs). I have an Onan DJA 3.kva diesel generator I would like to mount to the front aft of the tongue but I am concerned about weight at 250-300lbs. I have eliminated the Propane weight and able to shift 30 gallon water weight to tow vehicle. I have also installed Equalizer weight distribution system bars. Does anyone have any practical experience or knowledge on this issue.

Thanks

Hello mastiff and welcome to the forums!
This is definitely the place to find good advice from all the experts in every area of your Airstream.
Quick question: what would you be using as a towing vehicle?

I can't imagine having any trouble. You could probably handle a lot more tongue weight.

your van has the towing capacity to handle the load. But if it was a F series with the DRW you will be a lot better.
If you are planning to use a weight distribution hitch and a sway bar you should be fine. You will still be in an uncomfortable situation once an 18wheeler passes you at 70MPH but you should be fine.
Please post some pics of your set up, it sounds interesting.
Regards
