Microwave circuit on 87 airstream

Good afternoon all. I am a new airstreamer. My wife and I just inherited her grandfathers 1987 Airstream excella 32'. "Mint condition"! Getting ready for our first adventure and I was giving the trailer a once over. Noticed the microwave wasn't working. First thing I did was to remove microwave and plug into another outlet. It works just fine. The outlet behind MW does not. Checked with my voltmeter, at best 1vac. I have looked thru the owners manual and even online. I cannot seem to find the breaker that corresponds with the MW. Can anyone get me started in right direction?
Thx

You can run either the microwave or the AC but not both at the same time. There is a switch in the cabinet over the stove ( to the right of the door if looking out) that switches between the microwave and the AC. Look in the upper cabinets for a switch. Looks like a light switch.

Another secret in this model trailer is that there may be or may not be a switch behind the sofa on the left side that turns the the 110 volt supply to the converter for the 12 volt system on and off. We found that one after the lights got awful dim one night.

You sir, were correct. I just went down and flipped that switch, then checked my voltage. 119v.

This is described on page E-9 in the owners manual.
(one of my prior trailers was a 1987)

You can download a copy of your owners manual here.

When I need to look up something, I find it is a lot easier to open the computer than to go out to the trailer and dig into the storage area where I keep the hard copy.

BAMF => Congratulations on your '87 Excella. I acquired mine from a gentleman who hung up the keys back in 2011. It's a keeper! I've travelled about 100K miles with mine and spend about 5 to 6 months per year living in it. I've been making various upgrades as I go along. If it has not as yet been done, you most likely will need to replace the axles, as the rubber suspension loses its resiliance - generally every 25 years. I had mine done at JC, the mothership, and there was no extra charge for getting heavier rated axles.

Stupid switch. Just get rid of that trailer. I'll buy it!

Seriously, congrats. 87 is a pretty good year. We've had a few.
