Magnetek 950 - High Voltage

Hello - I have a mid 90's excella with a Magnetek 950 converter. Checkouts with 2 testers indicate it is putting out 15.2 volts - this makes the inside lights bright and sparkley but I understand it spells disaster for the batteries. Any suggestions on how I might step this down to a more reasonable voltage would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much in advance.

Best bet is to rip it out and replace with a better converter. They are NOT easily fixable...
