Looking for Outlet Cover

Greetings!

I need a source for an "electrical" part. My A/S has 2 electrical outlets on the exterior of the trailer. I'm looking to replace the outlet covers--they are rectangular, and have a round cap in the center which screws on and off. (A chain keeps the cap connected to the cover).

I've found some with a gray matte finish, but I'm looking for a polished looking one (might as well have SOMETHING on my trailer that shines )

Can anybody help? Thanks, Tom

Looking for Outlet Cover

Greetings Tom!

If the electrical contractor who helped me with the wiring for my exterior RV outlets at my home is correct, these outlets are obsolete and the only hope of obtaining either the outlet or the plate/cover assembly is to find an NOS unit through an electrical parts house. The one such outlet that I have on my '64 Overlander had a metal cover that polished very nicely - - the screw-on cover on the other hand is a cast aluminum and did not polish well. The photo below (taken on a gray overcast rainy day is not of the best quality) illustrates the difference in sheen between the cover plate and the cap.

The receptacle on my coach is for the factory optional porch light that can be seen in the photo below:

I have been on the lookout for these receptacles, but haven't run across any - - did happen to find an electrical supply house where the counterperson remembered selling the last one that they had about a year ago.

Kevin

Thanks, Kevin.

My thought is that if they are still made in a matte finish like I found, somebody has to be making them in a shiny finish.

Anybody have a recommendation for a good electrical supply store? Any electricians out there? Thanks, Tom

Hubbel?

It looks familiar to me. Commercial usage most likely. Try a good sized electrical supply house and ask them if you can look through their Hubbel catalogs.
