Length of standard 30 amp extension cord on trailer

My trailer is in a barn and I just had electric added to the barn. I can buy a 30' or a 50'cord that will travel from the back of the trailer to the electric panel where I have a 30 amp outlet. I would like to buy the 30' but I think I will be cutting it close to making the outlet.

Question.... How long is the electric hook up cord in length from the bumper to the plug in. I would measure it if I was at the barn, but it is a long way away. I thought somebody might know. My trailer is a 73 Overlander.

In general, the 70's Airstreams had 30' cords as original but it varied from unit to unit, depending on how the cord attached to the electrical panel. So, 25' minimum, 30' maximum I would say.

Not sure what you are asking. The 30 amp cord that came with my trailer is 30 feet. I replaced it with a better cord(Marinco) that is 25. %0 feet was also available but way too much cord for normal use.

Just to confuse the issue I just added a 25 ft extension to the on board storage, found a couple of sites where plugging in the regular 30 ft cord limited where I could park on the deep sites

I've carried one for years...only needed it a few times, but when you need it, you need it. So I have a total of 50' with the extension and it doesn't even get warm.

Something else to consider - if you are camping at a national, state/provincial park you may well need 75 feet of cord - some connections are not close and the posts are shared with two sites. We carry both an extra 30 footer and another 50 footer and have needed them from time to time.

I agree with previous posts about carrying an extension cord for the 30 Amp service, I've used mine many times over the years.
